Plant sale The number one item on our agenda right now is our annual native plant sale coming up this Saturday, 5 June, 9:30 to 12:30. Be sure to stop by and pick up some columbines, asters, goldenrods (for pollinators), or monarda (to bring hummingbirds into your yard). See list of plants for sale.

Apparently the sound of birds is universally reassuring to humans. The reason is because if birds are tweeting and singing, that means there's no danger.

Algonquin students plan FWG Interpretive Centre
Last summer, a group of Algonquin students chose the FWG for a major design project and met with Friday morning volunteers several times to find out what our "dream centre" would look like. Over the winter, they incorporated our ideas and many innovative ones of their own into architectural images of a beautiful and functional interpretive centre. Anyone interested in fundraising?
